Happenings at Pimento

Pimento Caribbean Restaurant strives to be a good neighbor and as a member of the community we feel that it is important to represent the best of what our culture has to offer. We try to lead by example and show others that by staying involved and being informed, we can help our community not only grow but thrive! We continuously seek out opportunities to participate in events and support our neighbors and friends whenever we can.

• We donate leftover food to churches and food pantry’s in the community on a daily etc. basis. New Life Tabernacle Church is just one of our partners in faith.

• We support the 46th Precinct on various initiatives to help introduce new recruits to the community via the cultural connection of our establishment and we actively participate in local events including the National Night Out coming up in August, 2010.

• We are a member of and support the Bronx AmeriCaribbean Chamber of Commerce (“BACCC”).

• We received an award from the prestigious organization 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement for our culinary contributions in supporting Black History Month this past February.

• We received a letter of thanks and recognition from the Jamaican Consulate for our catering support and contributions during an event this past year.

How do you stay involved? Post your comments and suggestions for making this a better community and let us know of any upcoming events.
